Francois Matteo I have an extensive background in the hospitality industry, and served as Senior Vice President. The human resources department serves no customers, books no business, yet it plays a very important role in the hotel’s efficient operation. As a Human Resources Manager, I oversees the Human Resources Department of Flipton Suites hotel. The Human Resources (HR) Department is responsible for the employees of the Flipton Suites Hotel. It's my job to hire, fire, train and maintain employees and employee relations including the following roles: • Recruitment and selection – recruiting and selecting staff with the correct attitudinal and behavioral characteristics of human resources department. • Retention – the need to avoid the development of a ‘turnover culture’ which is common in hospitality industry. For example, the use of ‘retention bonuses’ to influence employees to stay. • Teamwork – the use of cross-process and multifunctional teams. • Training and development – the need to equip operative level staff with team working and interpersonal skills and managers with new leadership style is another responsibility of human resources department. • Appraisal – having appraisals in the form of customer evaluation, peer review, team-based performance, and appraisal of managers by subordinates is also a responsibility of human resources department. • Rewarding quality – a need for more creative system of rewards and payment systems that reward employees for attaining quality goals. • Job security • Employee involvement and employee relations

Being one of the first members of The Flipton Suites family, since the very first year of hotel operation, I am privileged to have gained a lot of experience and knowledge of all food and beverage departments operations, as well as in the field of purchasing, cost control and handling all aspects of F & B departments. I am responsible for providing the best quality goods, for placing orders and monitoring delivery dates, dealing with food & beverage suppliers, providing internal audits and preparing monthly inventories.
I am the Food & Beverage Manager since 2011. My responsibilities are to manage all the F&B departments, to comply with all the health and safety regulations, to maintain day-to-day operations to the highest standards and to lead the F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel. Me and my team, we have enjoyed being a part of the Island family and are looking forward to many more creative years to come!
I am one of the latest members of The Flipton Suites team. I am working here as an Accountant, since 2014, just after I finished my university studies in Economics. Since then I have gained experience from working in a busy department and I am assisting in the activities of the accounts department with specific responsibilities for the effective, efficient and accurate processing of supplier invoices for timely payment, bookkeeping and personnel payroll.
I am the Housekeeper of The Flipton Suites hotel. After several years of experience at The Island as a chambermaid I became the Housekeeper. My main responsibilities are to deliver a high level of services, inspecting guest rooms and public areas to ensure that quality services are in accordance with the company’s standards, as well as the recruiting and coaching of the chambermaids.
I am the head chef here. I love cooking and I am blessed to have transformed my passion into my proffesion. After 35 years of working in several countries and in many different restaurants, I started working for the Island Hotel. Always in search of new techniques, new flavours and innovation, there is nothing that gives me greater pleasure than to offer true gastronomic satisfaction to our beloved guests.
I am an Aesthetics and Cosmetology graduate with a long experience in spa therapies, specialized in face/body treatments and massages. My highly qualified team and I will provide you with top quality services. Visit us for a unique trip to body rejuvenation and mind relaxation. My team and I will happily welcome you to our Spa and ensure that your experience here will be an unforgetable one.
My job is to make sure that the computer and network systems of the hotel are operational 24/7. I am also responsible for the digital presence of the hotel (Websites & SEO, Social Media, MSE, etc.), for reviewing your feedback and for responding to guest reviews and questionnaires.
